On December 10, 2007, Led Zeppelin did what many believed would never happen; they reformed for a one-off benefit show to honor the late founder of Atlantic Records, Ahmet Ertegun. The show, at London’s O2 Arena, would set records for the most attempts at gaining tickets, as the online lottery system crashed from the millions trying to enter!
The four of us in Led Zepagain were extremely honored to have been able to secure tickets to witness this once-in-a-lifetime concert, as well as passes to attend the previous day’s soundcheck/rehearsal, and the after show party! For a full recap of the whole experience, read Steve’s account HERE.
This Friday, we celebrate that historic show with a complete performance of the set they played that night!
